What are you selling?

Pick a brand. No account, no obligation, and we never call unless you ask us to.

  • Insured door to door
  • Paid the day we inspect
  • Free return if you decline

Estimated from public market comps. Your firm offer is confirmed after our watchmakers inspect the watch.

How it works

Three steps, and the risk sits with us

The parts that make sellers hesitate — shipping something valuable, waiting on payment, being talked down at the last minute — are the parts we have removed.

  1. Tell us what you have

Brand, model, condition. You get an indicative range on the spot, and a specialist follows with one firm figure within 24 hours — reasoned against live auction and dealer comps, not a formula.

  2. Send it, insured and prepaid

We email a prepaid label with full transit cover, door to door. Or skip shipping altogether and bring it to the showroom — the Diamond District is a short walk from Grand Central.

  3. Inspected, then paid the same day

Certified watchmakers verify movement, dial and case. Accept and the wire goes out that day. Decline and the watch comes home to you, insured, at our cost.

What we pay, published

Most buyers make you hand over your details before they will say a number. Here is the money actually leaving the desk, and the ranges behind it — so you can judge us before you tell us anything about yourself.

Placeholder figures. Replace the entries in src/lib/sell/recentAcquisitions.ts with genuine purchases, then set ACQUISITIONS_VERIFIED to true to remove this notice.

Actively buying

References on our want list

These are moving fastest through the desk right now, which means we are competing hardest on them.

We also buy Tudor, IWC, Panerai, Jaeger-LeCoultre, A. Lange & Söhne, Breguet, Chopard and Zenith, among others. As a rule we look at Swiss mechanical watches above roughly $1,000 — not quartz fashion watches or smartwatches.

You are one minute from knowing the number

No account, no photographs to take right now, and no phone number unless you want us to use it. Just tell us what you have.

Two ways to do this

Sell it outright, or let us place it

Neither is the right answer for everybody. It comes down to one question: do you want certainty now, or the higher number later? Pick one and we will carry it into your valuation.

Genuinely unsure? — a specialist will send the outright figure and the consignment estimate side by side, with the timing for each.

Your protection

Nothing here is a one-way door

Insured in both directions

Prepaid, fully covered transit to us — and the same cover on the way back if you decide against selling.

No obligation, ever

The appraisal is free and non-binding. Walking away after seeing the firm offer costs you nothing at all.

Box and papers optional

A full set helps. Its absence has never stopped us buying a watch worth buying.

Nothing opened unwitnessed

Your watch is photographed at intake and inspected in a monitored room. Ask for the photographs whenever you like.

In person

Or skip the shipping entirely

Bring the watch to the Diamond District and watch the appraisal happen. You get a figure while you wait, payment by wire the same afternoon, and the watch never leaves the room without you.

Straight answers

The questions sellers actually ask

How quickly do I get paid?

The same day our watchmakers finish the inspection. We pay by bank wire, which usually lands within a few hours; ACH takes one to two business days if you prefer it. We do not hold funds pending resale.

Is the shipping insured, and who pays for it?

We do, both ways. You get a prepaid, fully insured label, and your watch is covered from the moment it leaves your hands until it reaches our bench. If you decline our offer, the return is also prepaid and insured at our cost.

What if I do not like the final offer?

Nothing happens. There is no obligation at any stage. We ship the watch back to you immediately, fully insured, and you owe us nothing — not for the shipping, not for the appraisal.

Do you buy watches without the box and papers?

Yes, every week. A complete set does improve the figure, because provenance and warranty start are easier to establish, but the absence of a box or a warranty card never disqualifies a watch. Our watchmakers authenticate the piece itself.

How do I know the offer is fair?

The range you see in the form is built from public market comps — recent auction results, dealer asks and marketplace sold listings — and we publish current buy ranges for popular references on this page. The firm offer that follows comes with the reasoning behind it, including any service or refinishing cost we have deducted and why.

Could my watch be swapped or tampered with during inspection?

Your watch is logged in on arrival, photographed before anything is opened, and inspected in a monitored room. You can request the intake photographs at any point. If you would rather not let it out of your sight at all, bring it to our Diamond District showroom and watch the appraisal happen.

Can I trade my watch towards something else instead of selling?

Yes, and the trade figure is usually better than the cash figure, because we are not paying out capital. Mention it in the form and a specialist will quote both the outright purchase and the trade allowance against whatever you have in mind.

Which brands do you buy?

Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Richard Mille, Vacheron Constantin, Cartier, Omega, Hublot and Breitling are the ones we see most, and we buy well beyond that list. As a rule of thumb we look at Swiss mechanical watches valued above roughly $1,000; we do not buy quartz fashion watches or smartwatches.
